Seller's description :
Jaguar's famous 3.8-litre straight-six engine was released in 1958 and was present in a number of iconic Jaguar cars. The 3.8-litre straight-six engine was the same one that powered Jaguar into automotive legend winning five Le Mans victories in the Jaguar E-Type and D-Types.
Fully restored in 2014, this 1964 3.8-litre Jaguar E-type has been built as a real drivers E-type. The original engine has been re-built to fast road specification and is combined with the highly desirable 4 speed Jaguar Synchromesh gearbox making the car an enjoyable authentic driving experience.
The mechanical upgrades have not stopped there, the E-type has also had a suspension and brake upgrades to compliment the fast road engine specification. Fitted with an aluminium radiator and header tank with silicone hoses and a tubular sport mild steel exhaust, this E-type has had no expense sparred on it's restoration.
This 1964 E-type really stands out in Dark Blue with a Cinnamon interior. With just under 2,000 original RHD Series 1 3.8-litre E-types manufactured, this represents a fantastic opportunity to own a beautifully restored E-type with a touch under 80,000 miles on the clock.
