This superb and stunning 1963 Jaguar 3.8 'E' type fixed head coupe has been totally restored at a cost of over ú30000 during the ownership of the present private owner and vendor.
It is painted in Red with the Grey and Black interior trim and it can only be described as exceptional. The car has only had six owners from new including the present owner and it had benefitted from a new engine by Bob Bates of Liverpool; new electrics by Peter Newall of Donnington; a reconditioned gearbox by G.E.A.R.S. of Southport; a new interior by Standish Trim and a complete repaint by Central Bodyshop of Chorley.
Unfortunately the owner did not keep all the receipts as it was his intention to keep the car but the car does have its original Green logbook and upon inspection the underside of the car and under the bonnet were totally as new even down to the cross-ply tyres.
This outstanding car is currently tested and taxed and it is being sold with the valuable Cheshire registration number 3050 TU.

I owned this car in the early 70s but I had to sell it because I was going to university. I sold it at auction in Queensferry for £125 - YES £125. I just saw one at the classic car show in Birmingham the same model and year and it was for sale at £129.000

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
