Nicolas Cage Collection. Competition-prepared E-type with a very successful vintage racing history, including three VARA championships. From 1996 to '99 it was in 22 races and never scored less than fourth place. A race-ready example.

The 6/89 issue of Ejag magazine contained an article about this car. It was said to be owned by Bernard Juchli who turned the car into a racer. He purchased the car in London in 1985 badly rusted and having been in storage for several years. It had previously been a "club racer" back in the 70s. It continues "This cat began as Chassis #861233, body V4588 and Engine #RA2098-9." He performed many modifications on the engine and it was dynamometer tested at 328hp at 6k rpm. It was said of the owner "Barney worked at various Jaguar dealerships until he opened his own Jaguar shop in 1981 in Los Gatos, California. He is a member of five different vintage racing clubs and campaigns his coupe up and down the West Coast with his chief pit steward/helper/wife Rosalie." The car is painted in the Lister Jaguar colors of green and yellow with its racing number 46 on the side.

The first vintage race was run at the Palm Springs, Grand Prix in November 1986. I have campaigned the Jaguar up and down the West Coast from Westwood, BC to Phoenix, AZ. It has competed in the Monterey Historics for Four years.

Powering this historic right hand drive racer is a race built Inline 3.8 liter 6-Cylinder Twin Cam utilizing Triple Weber 48 DCOE Carburetors boasting 300+ HP which really moves this ~2350lb Lightweight race car. Upgrades to the driveline are extensive, and all parts were either replaced or rebuilt in 2008. Vintage logbooks show this is a Steel Monocoque Chassis with Aluminum bonnet, doors, boot skin, and Lexan windshield and windows. This car has an 8-Point full roll cage, functional driving lights, and a fully synchronized, close ratio 5-Speed Manual Gearbox.
