Ok, this is a long shot but I'm trying to trace down a company, C.T. Whiting Ltd who purchased new my 62 E, car No 860619, UK reg 270NVO in Nottinghamshire from Jag dealer Sanderson & Holmes. Failing that I've a receipt from Warren Pearce dated 10 June 1966 made out to a K. Moore, Esq, The Gables, Dormers Well
Lane, Southall, Middx for work done to the same car. Can anyone shed any light on the whereabouts of any of these people? address, rutland@one.net.au

Mark Donaldson has kindly provided the below information and image of the original paperwork provided on this page. If the (proven) current owner should see this post in a timely basis he may be able to get that document into your hands. Please contact me by clicking on my name.

The buff log book was found amongst some papers by my good friend Nick
Benwell (his uncle Bert Smith, now deceased, apparently was the person who
sold the car to Australia back in the 1960s).

James Harwood who bought the car into Australia bought it from a Cameron White in the U.K.. Cameron raced a Maserati 250F in the 60s. James and a Bert Smith pitted for Cameron at Goodwood while racing there. Bert Smith owned this Etype prior to Cameron selling the car to James in Perth.

Sorry people, it was Cameron Millar that the Etype was purchased from.I have a letter from James Harwood the proprietor of "Sporting Cars" in Claremont, Perth, Western Australia when the car was imported into the country in 1966 through him from Cameron. It was then my father bought the car from James in 1967.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
