The car has been sold in England in 1962. Later the car was in Finland (Scandinavia) and has been converted to left hand drive . Now the car is in a German Jaguar Collection.

I owned 860599 when I was a student at Birmingham University, I bought it in 1978 and sold it in 1981. The UK registration number was FWC 799, I still have some documentation to show that if the current owner is interested in it.

My step father owned this car from 1964-1968. It was originally Sherwood Green, Right Hand Drive, with Brown Leather interior, and resided in Hornchurch, Essex, UK. We have many photos of the car, mostly in black and white. My mother recalls driving from London to Manchester at speeds exceeding 120 mph before the national speed limits were introduced in the UK.

Happy Motoring

Loved the FWC 799. Fantastic performance. I did a few jobs on the car with my wife to be. Enjoyed driving the E type to and from work in Enfield, N. London and only sold it when decided to get married.

had FWC 799 from late 1960's to late 1970,s lots of rust problems overcome and Fiberglass bonnet fitted. engine rebuilt about '75 i believe about 190,000 miles, Nothing quite like an e type then effortless motoring. Calliper rubbers started failing and could not replace in those days. Lovely to hear car is @a good home. Fantastic car

Production Date: May 28, 1962 delivered to its first owner in Saxilby, Lincoln, with registration FWC-799. In 1987, it was acquired by a collector in Finland, who undertook a comprehensive restoration, converting it to left-hand drive and changing its color from green to red.

The car remained in Finland until March 2008 when it was sold to Germany. In 2009, the current owner purchased it and commissioned further upgrades, including the replacement of all engine rubber seals and hoses, door seals, and installation of a new leather interior.

A three-layer coating was applied to the paint and chrome, revitalizing the car's appearance. Additionally, all mechanical and electrical components were thoroughly inspected and upgraded, ensuring the car is in excellent working condition.

Car still has the original engine and gearbox.

THE BEST POINTS Excellent solid condition.

KNOWN FAULTS OR DAMAGE No faults or damage.
