Details
Offered here is an example of the most beautiful of all of the E-Types and this one has laid dormant for 27 years. The car was discovered when the owner passed away and his garages became part of a compulsory purchase order. The family discovered that the car was placed in the garages in 1981. It has now been recommissioned and MoT'd. The indicated mileage is 25,000 miles. This is thought to be correct, considering the time spent inactive and the low ownership numbers. .

Bought from Coombs of Guildford in 1980, by world famous body builder Charges "Wag" Bennett, the car has evidence of Jaguar Drivers Club Concours wins in the mid seventies and invoices for over £7500 for recent recommisioning and MoT works. These works are detailed in the history file but are very comprehensive with parts alone costing over £4500.

The car drives exceptionally well and is tight and responsive. With the exception of the required recommissioning, the car is original, having never been restored. While the car is mechanically superb and complete with a new MoT, it does require some cosmetic attention.

Finished in Jaguar opalescent silver blue with red interior and sitting on chrome wire wheels, the car is offered complete with the cherished registration WAG 7, which has been valued at between £7000 and £10000.

Note: Charles "WAG" Bennet, along with his wife Dianne was Arnold Schwarzenegger's mentor. WAG and Dianne were referred to, by Arnie, as his "British Parents" and he always kept in touch with the familly. Without WAG Bennet, Arnie would not have won his 5 Mr Universe titles, which gained him access to Hollywood and eventually to the Governership of California.
