This highly original 1964 Jaguar E-Type 3.8 S1 roadster is described by the vendor as: "very solid, straight and relatively rust free. A truly magnificent time warp car that still has its keys in the ignition!" All of the brightwork on the car is in restorable condition so there is no need for poor quality reproduction parts. It appears to have never been welded and retains its factory panel gaps, which ideally suit chassis number 850865 as a candidate for a concourse restoration, just in time for the E-Type Golden anniversary next year.
Originally supplied in Guards Red with beige interior it comes with a JDHT certificate confirming these details and confirmation that this E-Type retains its original matching engine. Having spent most of its life in Hong Kong and the USA, 850865 has only recently been imported back to the UK and is supplied with the appropriate New York State title papers.
Complete with an original and extremely rare factory hard top, what better way to spend those long winter evenings than in the company of a true survivor that will inevitably provide the perfect base for the discerning collector's dream E-Type.
