This E-type left the factory as a normal road car with chassis no 850792. Which is just in between the Lightweights and the semi lightweight of production year 1964. The car was first registered in the UK with license number J3414.

The car must have been raced in the original RHD version in the UK. The car still has a flat floor on the left side from that period. It was to keep the exhaust silencer as high as possible to the body. When it was sold to Germany it was converted to LHD. It is not complicated to reverse it back to RHD.

The E-type was used by the previous 2 German owners in international Rallies. It has taken part in the historic rally of Monte Carlo in the nineties. The old HTP papers with stamps and remarks of the FIA scrutineering are with the car. There are many documents and papers that will come with the car. Invoices, old and new FIA HTP papers, recent results, German road registration papers and more. The Car is offered in 100% race-ready condition with nothing further to monocoque spend while it has also has a German road registration and comes with the in 2019 issued FIA HTP papers.

Conform to the semi-lightweight requirement the car has a steel with aluminum hardtop, doors and boot lid Only the bonnet is still Steel. The full FIA approved Roll cage is made recent in the Netherlands and approved by the Knaf. Documents are coming with the car.

INTERIOR

Inside, the cabin is trimmed in period racing style, with a FIA seat in date, FIA 6-point harnesses and exposed fuses and Fia mean circuit breaker Lexan windows are fitted. The complete range of modifications, inside, outside, and underneath, is very extensive but it is all detailed in with pictures of the restoration.

The widened transmission tunnel, which can house the homologated 5 speed ZF gearbox. Which is not in the car. It allows to take out the 4-speed gearbox separate from the engine.

BODYWORK

There was a damage at the rear Left light which is not finished complete. There are a few stone chips, including a spot on the bonnet that has been touched up, but aside from that, it’s all in good condition. There’s no hint of corrosion, either on the steel or the aluminum, and no electrolytic reaction where the two metals meet. The paint finish is consistent throughout.

Among the more distinctive features, some of which are Lightweight-specific, are vents on the roof and boot lid, leather bonnet straps, a bonnet-mounted air deflector.

Denis Welsh supplied a spare set of wheels which have now Dunlop 600/650M15 tires

The wide rear fenders are as homologated and can house the widest 650M or 700L Dunlop tires.

An Aston fuel filler cap in the rear bonnet is for filling the 120-liter aluminum tank build to Fia standards in the trunk.

The underneath of the car has been finished in body color rather than undersealed and is almost as immaculate as what’s on top.

2 sets of Tires/wheels come with the car; One set with Avon CR6-ZZ and one set Dunlop 600/650M15.

The suspension and brakes were uprated recent to Fia HTP as well many new suspension parts like springs and Koni big double adjustable shock absorbers and up-rated torsion bars.

ENGINE AND RUNNING GEAR

In the car is now the spare engine. Which is a more standard than the race engine for this car. The race engine with more power (+-340HP) is made with many parts of Rob Beer. The camshafts are from Denis Welsh.

2 extra Gearboxes come with the car.

The car is in the north of Belgium.
