1962 Jaguar E Type S1 3.8 ots roadster semi lightweight specification. Carmen Red with Red leather interior. Original UK RHD OTS matching numbers example. Originally supplied by Jaguar dealer Rossleigh of Scotland to Mr Owen on 2 February 1962 and registered 309WK. This incredible semi lightweight creation was built by renowned Jaguar specialist Rothwell Engineering. Equipped with the 3.8 engine with flange liners, big valve ports and polished cylinder head with re-profiled fast road cams, 9.5:1 power max pistons, dynamically balanced and fitted with harmonic crankshaft damper, triple Weber 45DCOES carburettors, special manifold, uprated limited slip differential with alloy tuned cover, aluminium flywheel, uprated competition clutch. Sports exhaust with 3 branch manifold, electronic ignition and modified oil feed giving improved oil flow to camshafts.
It has an aluminium radiator, Kenlowe cooling fan, uprated torsion bars, Harvey Bailey anti roll bars, Spax adjustable shock absorbers, improved rear springs, AP racing callipers, steel braided hoses, 6.5x15 ins stainless steel wire wheels with Pirelli tyres, aluminium louvred bonnet, aluminium doors and boot lid with extractor vent, genuine factory hard top, Monza style fuel cap, interior trimmed to factory specification and fitted with tubular roll cage and seat harnesses. There is a complete provenance file with operating, maintenance and service handbook, Jaguar Heritage certificate, Coventry Transport Museum certificate of authenticity, restoration invoices and a feature article on 309WK in Jaguar World magazine. This fastidiously restored potent E Type has covered just 5,000 miles since restoration.
