850354 - 5292 UR - was once owned by UK motoring journalist George Bishop. In Super Car Classics magazine Autumn 1983 he says 'The E type belonged to a garage proprietor who was getting married and switching to a Cortina, and it turned out to be rather like the cobbler's shoes- in need of repair. I took it to France to find that out, but when I submitted a list of faults he put them right without quibble. I think the E cost about £600 and was sold for £500 after a lot of fun and a tour of the high passes of Europe'.
