Please feel free to pass on my e-mail ifany of your guys wish to e-mail me for further info. I met Adam Faith many years later. He was interested in buying the car back off me. However, I had sold the car in Malta a few years before, hence still retaining the logbook.

Adam Faith was a dear friend and over the years constantly spoke of how he wanted to buy 323 CYN back. He also told me the story of how he got hold of an early roadster, which I filmed as an interview in my BBC 2 show The Car's The Star (available on BBC iPlayer and YouTube). In 1961 he'd earned £900,000 and was one of the UK's most successful pop stars but despite his fame and wealth couldn't get hold of an E-type through the normal channels because of a year-long waiting list. He rang Lofty England at Jaguar many times and 'begged' him to supply a car and in the end Lofty relented and sold Adam a factory demonstrator, which he recalled had been used by Lofty himself. Adam also remembered that when he parked the car it would disappear behind crowds of admirers. He wryly remarked that they weren't looking at Adam Faith, but just stunned at seeing the then new E-type in the metal. He was a really lovely man.
