    850014 is said to have been raced by Briggs Cunningham. It was reported to be located in England in the mid-eighties and was reported to have black license-plate lights. In 1991, it was reported to be undergoing restoration.

    Car appears to be all decked out for racing. A photo in the November 2012 edition of The E-Type shows the car at the Goodwood Revival where it was said to have taken second place. Driven by John Young and Bobby Verdon-Roe.

    I owned this E Type in 1983 and it was red and in a very poor condition if fact I still have the workshop manual that came with the car with information still in the front of the manual relating to the car.

    Chassis 850014 had not been a competition car, but rather a “Priority List” car.

    "obvious that the E-Type Lightweight is a replica”. In summary, the build features of the body shell were neither original nor period. The chassis number had the wrong typeface and placement. The chassis plate was in the wrong type and not original. The gearbox was completely the wrong type. The engine was a lightweight replica engine made from aluminium, rather than cast iron, and was a different shape to a period engine. The carburettors were obviously not period either."
