The photo of the engine number clearly shows a "h" suffix. What does this mean? I thought the suffix was either a "8" or "9" depending on the compression ratio.

OK, I now know that the very late Series II cars, the "8" or "9" engine suffix was dropped and replaced by a new scheme where "h" suffix designates High Compression, "S" designated Standard Compression and "L" designated Low Compression.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
