This 1971 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster is a non-running project that remained with its prior owner for more than three decades before it was acquired by the selling dealer in 2024. The car last ran in the 1990s and is equipped with a 4.2-liter inline-six and a four-speed manual transmission. Finished in red with a black soft top, the car also has 15″ wire wheels, black leather upholstery, and a Philips push-button radio. This XKE project is now offered in Texas at no reserve with a clean Iowa title.
The car is finished in red and equipped with a black soft top, sealed-beam open headlights, a driver-side mirror, wraparound chrome bumpers, and a louvered clamshell hood.
The 15″ wire wheels are secured by three-eared knock-offs and are mounted with Goodyear Eagle GA tires. Four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear rotors are fitted.
The cabin houses bucket seats upholstered in black leather along with a color-coordinated center console, door panels, and carpets. A Philips push-button radio is linked to Panasonic speakers.
The steering wheel wears an aftermarket wrap, and Smiths instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary readouts centrally located in the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 68k miles.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is said to have last run in 1996 and is currently seized.
Power is routed to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The exhaust system is equipped with glasspack mufflers that terminate under the car ahead of the rear axle. Rust in the engine bay and on underside components is visible.
