Greetings to All !!! imotors is very Excited to offer this Wonderful 1971 Jaguar XKE Series II OTS. This is quite an interesting example and will be a BARGAIN for the smart buyer. This is one of the last six cylinder cars(The Series 3 V-12 started in 1971), and is quite rare and desirable. It appears to have been FULLY restored, and is Gorgeous!!!!. The Chrome Wire Wheels(5) are beautiful and really add to it's appearance. It is powered by the famous Jaguar 4.2 DOHC inline six that puts out well over 200 HP. The four speed manual gearbox(good synchros), along with the four wheel disk brakes, independent rear suspension, and rack and pinion steering give this XKE that true sports car feeling. You can see the distinct resemblance to the famous D Type racecars.

This particular example was just purchased to settle a divorce. From what I have been told, these folks purchased this car from the local Jaguar dealer about 10 years ago. It was, at that time fully restored, and they paid an obscene amount of money for it. There are some dash plaques in the car, indicating that they took it to some shows in the mid 90's. It even took second in class at the world famous "Pittsburgh Vintage Grand Prix" British Car Day. I guess the relationship started to sour sometime around 1999(last safety inspection sticker), and the Jag was put into storage. We stumbled upon it a few months ago, with a For Sale sign in the window, and snapped it up!!! You can take one look at the car, and know that it was a complete restoration. It looks like the car was completely taken apart, redone, and put back together. Yes, it is showing some minor wear, from time, and use. A few nicks, and chips here and there, and some dirt, and grime. Nothing that you would need to repair, or even be put off by. Is it pefect, not hardly. No car is. BUT...It is Extremely nice, and(in my opinion), quite show worthy!!

In the last few hundred miles, the car was taken out of storage, and completely re-commissioned. Almost $1500.00 has been spent to ensure reliability, and motoring pleasure. We have receipts for the following......

Complete Tune Up
Rebuild both carburetors, including new diaphragms
Remove, and clean/coat the fuel tank
Replace 6 sparking plugs
Replace Air Filters
Replace Fuel Filter
Change Oil and Filter
Replace both front brake rotors

As expected it is sheer heaven to drive. It now performs beautifully, and should be ready to be loved and enjoyed by the next lucky owner.

The exterior colour is, of course, British Racing Green, and is magnificent!! I see no signs of previous damage, and of course no rust is present. There are a few nicks, and chips along various edges. We have touched them up, and they are hardly noticeable. I'm certain that it was completely refinished during restoration. The biscuit roadster top is also in beautiful condition. You will notice in the photos below, that the rear window is almost as clear as glass. The chrome wire wheels are also just gorgeous. They are riding on a set of Michelins that are about 70%. They do have a slight amount of dry-Rot(left rear is the worst) in the sidewalls. This 1971 Jaguar XKE makes a grand appearance and causes a commotion wherever it goes. This car draws more attention than almost ANY car on the road today(including my Rolls Royce Corniche). The XKE is one of the most notable sports cars ever conceived, and is ever increasing in value. I would consider it an exotic at a VERY affordable price, that will be a great investment.

The interior is beautiful Biscuit leather. It also was completely redone(I think), including the carpets, and makes a Lovely appearance. The headrests are in great condition as well, and do not need "restuffed". The steering wheel is a beautiful Nardi 3 spoke. It has a crack around the inside edge, that is hardly noticeable, but you can feel it with your hands. I can purchase a replica of the original for about $300.00, if the winner desires. The black air conditiong unit under the dash was broken, as many of them are(people must bump them with their knees). We have had it professionally repaired, and it looks pretty good, not perfect, but definitely not worth replacing(if you could ever find one!!).The dash and gauges are in very nice condition, they are all in proper working order(with the exception of the clock). The AM FM Stereo Cassette is not currently working, but will be either repaired, or replaced before you pick it up.

This beautiful XKE Roadster has just been safety checked and thoroughly inspected. It starts with ease and runs super. As noted above over $1500.00 has just been spent on service and upgrades. I have driven it extensively(about 300 miles). It drives like no other car that I have ever driven....Smooth, Tight, and responsive. It is a Fabulous Example and will certainly be cherished by the lucky New owner. This wonderful Jaguar XKE is just Gorgeous, and is ready to be driven and enjoyed for many years to come.

This 1971 Jaguar XKE Series II roadster is finished in green with a tan soft top over a tan leather interior. The seller acquired the car in 2014 and has since added approximately 2k miles. A numbers-matching 4.2L inline-six is paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and additional features include dual Stromberg carburetors, 15″ wire wheels, a black boot cover, a cassette stereo, and R12 air conditioning. Service performed in 2020 included changing the oil and replacing the alternator as well as the voltage regulator. This Series II XKE roadster is now offered with partial records since 2005, the seller’s maintenance spreadsheet, a factory booklet, and a clean Indiana title in the seller’s name.

The car is finished in green, and the seller notes that the hood was refinished by a previous owner. The tan convertible top is paired with a black boot cover, and additional features include chrome-finished bumpers with guards as well as dual-exit exhaust. A matching tan console, carpeting, and door panels are contrasted by a black dashboard with an aftermarket cassette stereo. The seller states that the R12 air-conditioning system is inoperable.

A wood-rimmed steering wheel sits ahead of factory Smiths instrumentation that includes a 160-mph speedometer, a 6k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges that extend across the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 49k miles, approximately 2k of which have been added during current ownership.

This 1971 Jaguar XKE is a green-over-tan Series II Roadster that is powered by a numbers-matching 4.2L inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a tan soft top, a black top boot, dual Stromberg carburetors, 15″ wire wheels, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, and a cassette stereo. The car was acquired by the seller on BaT in October 2020, and subsequent service included tuning the carburetors and performing an oil change. This XKE is now offered in Rhode Island with a Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate, partial service records, and a clean Montana title in the name of the seller’s LLC.

The car was originally delivered in Ascot Fawn according to the Heritage Certificate, and it was refinished in its current shade of green during prior ownership. The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with dual Stromberg carburetors. The alternator and voltage regulator were replaced in 2020, and service in preparation for the sale included tuning the carburetors and an oil change.
