68,610 miles, on ebay 09/08, seller writes: You are bidding on a beautiful original condition, 1973 Jaguar XKE V-12 Series III Coupe. I am the third owner of this wonderful bit of history. I purchased the cr in March of 2006 from a retired Air Force Pilot from Castle Airforce Base in Atwater, Calif. He purchased the vehicle from a Las Vegas showgirl when it was practically new.

The car has sat for about 5-6 years prior to my purchasing it. In general the car was in great shape and just needed cleaning and service. The original black leather seats and interior looked like new. The exterior paint looks okay, but does show abit of age and could use a paint job to make it show quality, but sure doesn't take away from getting some thumbs up when it is on the road.

I have spent the past 2 1/2 years slowly restoring this car to it's original grandeur. To date I have performed the following:

New Pirelli Radial Tires (p4000 20570ZR15

Polished all 5 original wire wheels

Complete Engine service, hoses, belts, electric ignition components, cap, rotor, plugs, wires, etc

    New fluids thru out

    New air control valve

New master brake servo, master cylinder, clutch master and slave cylinder

New stainless steel braided brake lines

Driver side floor pan was professionally replaced with factory pan ( only rust spot on entire car form a water leak into corner of drivers floor pan) Have pics of repair

    New smog pump

    Polished Engine heat shields

Refurbished radiator and new thermostat and sensors

Powder coated radiator shroud cover ( not shown in car pics)

    New battery and cable caps

    Exterior body polished

    Detailed chrome

    Serviced electric system

    Flushed entire fuel system

New door window frame and top seals

    New Engine bonnet seals

    New air duct inlet seals

    Carbs serviced/ Kit

    New factory missing labels installed

Needless to say, I have spent alot of time and a great deal of time to properly restore this classic. Unfortunately, due to a divorce, I am forced to have to sell it.

The car is close to being finished, with the exception of the following tems:

Rer wheel bearings can use replacement ( new bearings and seals are included in sale)

Rear window chrome trim is included, but not installed

Brake calipers are a little sticky from lack of driving ( prior owner had rebuilt calipers)

Tachometer is sticky in movement ( needs cleaning or driving )

The carbs need to have someone with knowledge to adjust them properly

    AC needs charging

With the above items finished on this car, you would have one awesome vehicle. The pics of this car tell the story of it's pride in ownership and it's exceptional condition.

Included in this sale, is a host of new parts I purchased and planned to install following a new paint job. Virtually every seal for the exterior is included ( see pics).

If you have been looking for one of these cars and don't mind doing the finishing touches, then this wonderful classic if for you. I have the original owners manual, service books, all receipts for the work I have done, the original tool kit and jack are also included.

Please remember your bid is a binding contract. Please e-mail any and all questions prior to bidding. There are no warranties implied or given in any way. A deposit of $2000.00 is due within 48 hrs of the close of the auction with the balance due within 7 days of the close of the auction. Buyer to arrange and pay for any and all shipping. We encourage to see this vehicle in person. You WILL be impressed.

    Happy Bidding !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
