ON EBAY

Info from above ebay listing:
cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Current bid $8,856.50 reserve not met, 14 bids, 4 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
Jaguar XKE (E Type) Series 3, V12, 2+2 4 speed, 63750 MILES.
This car has been in the same ownership from 1984. I have known the car and the owner for the last 10 years, and now he has failing health and has asked me to sell the car for him as he is not internet/ebay literate. The car has led a very sheltered life and has been the owner's pride and joy for the last 20 odd years, only having travelled 10,000 miles during his ownership. The car is a fine looking specimen from 20 feet, but being a driven car, it is NOT a concours example. However, the car is faultless mechanically and other than the normal blemishes associated with an un-restored example, the car is very fine indeed. Equipped with the highly desirable 4 speed manual gearbox, as compared to the auto, the car really drives as one should expect an E type to drive. The car is equipped with air conditioning, but I am not sure that it is operational. (Comparatively easy to fix).

I am a Jaguar fanatic of old, and I can attest to the viability of the car.

I bought this car; need some work, but has a running engine; former owner was Mc Cornack, Lincoln, W, Ontario USA. I have had this jag on transport in 2006 to Holland where he is now-a-days. Nice car to see; engine is running but has to look after. Start is in 1 time with choke use. Was not selling on ebay. I bought it directly from seller after ebay.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
