Sellers description:
Very nice 1972 Jaguar XKE Series III 2+2 Coupe. I have records dating back to 2001 which helps validate the low 47000 miles. This Jaguar changed hands in 2001 from a previous owner who had it for years. It was claimed to have been garage kept that whole time. At some point of time it was repainted Satin Beige from its original Sable Brown. The work in my opinion was well done including proper painting of all jambs as well as under the hood including the frame rails. The body is exceptional with only minor marks under the grill and to the corner of the lower hood intake scoop. The only other marks are where floor jacks have abused the frame rails. This seems to be common and I only wish service people would be more careful in the way they do things. This holds for all older cars not just this Jaguar. I have taken many pictures to help guide you through the appearance of this 2+2 coupe. You will see lovely paint with a beautiful shine and a true Jaguar color. You will see near perfect body lines throughout. You will not see any damage nor obvious rust and you will see completeness including the scoops for the rear brakes. Inside has been mostly restored. The work is very nice and includes new seat covers, headliner and carpets. The dash is beautiful. The trunk area is very clean. Now to mention some minor points. The bracket that attaches the holder to the rear door is missing. There is a fastener for a chrome rail decorative piece on the driver's door that will need to be replaced and the handle for the glove box needs to be installed. I have the piece as seen in the documents picture. I do not have the correct tool bag. The engine compartment is very nice with a new heater box and matrix. This is very expensive and a problem with many XKE'S. The car runs and sounds superb. No smoke, rattles or noises. The rain shields are off in the pictures but will be reinstalled. I removed them so you could see things better. The needs. This Jaguar has only been driven a few thousand miles over the last 15 years. I recommend a full lubrication service, new brake pads and a good inspection and yes it has oil weepage never ever had a Jaguar that did not and I have had many. I will say the newer ones do not. I am not testing the market. This Jaguar has an honest realistic reserve and is worth owning.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
