Ebay item# 2432380496 9/12/03 current bid $5000 nine days left in the auction.

Sellers comment:
This is a low mileage, mostly original car in excellent condition. Always garaged, very little underbody rust, all metal is original, only three owners. Original radio, original guages, original bonnet and boot. Automatic transmission and air conditioning. Powerful, responsive and fun to drive. Wire wheels in excellent condition.

Vehicle Condition
The engine purrs at idle and roars at 6000 RPM, solid transmission, new A/C compressor, new engine bearings, new headliner, new visors, new battery, Perelli tires have many miles left. Some fenders have been repainted, drivers seat leather cracking. This is an honest original with nothing to hide, a real head turner.

Current bid $3,000.00 (Reserve not met), 9 bids, 6 days left in auction. This auction is based from Williamsburg, Virginia, USA.

Sellers description;
You are bidding on a 1972 Jaguar XKE V-12 Coupe with 59,149 original miles. This vehicle will drive anywhere. The drivers seat is worn (for its age) but the seat and the rest of the vehilce is in perfect working order. The Jag does not leak oil (as is common with this model). The wire wheels are in perfect codition with a set of brand new Pirelli P4000 Super Touring 215/70/ZR/15 97 W M+S tires. All of the fluids have been changed, air filters replaced and a complete tune up. According to Jaguar; they built 7,400 +/- of the V-12 vehicles between 1971 1974 (Coupes and Roadsters) If you are looking for a daily driver Jaguar XKE V-12; this is it. A true low mileage classic. Enjoy your search for the best orignal 1972 Jaguar XKE V-12.

Vehicle Condition
The vehicle is always garaged and in good working order. It is all original with no after-market junk added. The condition reflects its age; but is a true classic worthy of many many more miles of pleasure driving before restoration. I also have a complete owers manual and parts catalog. I am selling the vehicle for one reason only; i am moving to a smaller house and have no place to store it. I could not bring myself to store this classic outside.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
