Current bid $7,877 reserve not met, 11 bids, 5 days left in auction. 80k miles.

Sellers description:
Great original 1972 Jaguar E type. This is a 2 own vehicle that we just did thousands of dollars of work on for the original owner. The car is an original California car and has 90% of its original paint. The car sat in the original owners garage for many years with a blown transmission. She brought it to us and said she wanted her car back and wanted to drive it on a weekly basis. We did $12,500 in repairs to make the car a great reliable driver. The car runs and drives excellent. She drove the car for about one month and then decided it was not for her. It was not what she has remembered. We then sold the car for her to one of our clients. He also did loads of cosmetic work to the car including detailing the engine bay and replacing all of the rubber seals in the vehicle. He loved the car but decided to trade it in on another vehicle that we had. The car looks great and is a true rust free accident free vehicle. The car needs nothing!

A very original, three-owner E-Type. This is a car we have known and serviced for many years. We have actually maintained this car for all three owners over the course of its life. It's an original California car with no rust or accident damage. Much of the paint is original, but it has been touched up over the years. The paint and body is not perfect and has a few nicks, chips, and dings. The upholstery is all very nice and the car features newly-upholstered front seats. We have done extensive work to this car over the last several years, including a new transmission and a major overhaul of the cooling and hydraulic systems. The car runs and drives fantastic and will be a great drive for someone. These V12 cars are really a pleasure to drive.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
