Current bid $5,100 reserve not met, 4 bids 4 days left in auction. Buy it now price $16,000. Car now said to be in Birmingham, Alabama. 83k miles.

Sellers description:
I bought this car in 2007 to fully restore and add to my collection of Jaguars. I have kept it in storage since I purchased it. With a couple of exceptions, the body is very solid. The trunk floor has a small amount of surface rust in the spare tire well. There is also an area of more extensive rust at the rear bottom of the right rear whell well. (See picture). The car ran and drove well when I purchased it. The crome is in fair shape. There are two dents on the hood which were caused when someting fell on it while it was being stored by the previous owner. The interior is worn, but in fair shape, The Driver's seat has a tear in the seat bottom. The exhaust system was fairly new when I bought the car. It also has a new master cylinder. At the time I bought it, it had just had a tune up including new plugs, carb adjustment and it's timing set. I purchased the car because it is very sound and will make a good restoration vehicle.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
