If you want to own a Jag--This is the one to buy! My brother purchased It new,put it in his 13-car collection of Jags.& Rolls. About 10 years later I put it in my 6-car collection. It has been entered in Car Shows winning awards for Best of Class & Peoples Choice. It has never been driven in the rain nor washed with water, just dusted daily in a garage with sealed doors to prevent dust. Even the floor is tiled & wet mopped. Tires just replaced because the rubber was possibly dry. If you fear Lucas ignition systems, that problem is solved. Under the original distributor is an electronic ignition with a high out-put coil, the original parts were retained to switch back if you wish. The car was repainted before delivery in 1971 at a cost of $5,000. My brother didn't like the shade of beige. It has never been in an accident, even the clock works! I added a switch to run the cooling fans while in traffic and can turn them off on the road or let the thermo -switch control the fans. I can feel a slight paint bubble on one cowl panel. Jag owners know this is very common and easily corrected. Spare tire has a new chrome spoke wheel. Roadsters (convertibles) are cool looking but you burn in the summer and get a face full of road dirt. I know, I have (2) but keep the tops up.
