Sellers description:
A very special one owner from new, 41,700 original mile 1971 Jaguar E-Type. This is the first time the car has been offered for sale publicly, since it was sold new.
It is a matching number, V12, 4-Speed manual gearbox, Wire Wheel, Air Conditioned, (blows cold), Coupe. It is in it's original paint and original color of Willow Green, which was Sir William Lyons' favorite color on an E-Type.
The car is original, solid and rot free. We have the original owners manual, in it's original wallet, with operating instructions card for the "Delanair" Air Conditioning System, that blows cold, the original routine maintenance, lubricant, capacities and pressures poster, the U.S.A. vehicle safety regulations leaflet, and "page 37" recommended lubricants correction page, a copy of the original title, clean title showing actual miles as 40,600 and the bill of sale that states, One Owner, Original Miles and a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, confirming originality of color and drivetrain. The only thing we have done to the car is replace the original Dunlop SP Sports with modern high performance radial, 205/70R15 tires, so the car can be safely driven. The original chrome wire wheels are excellent. If you like unmolested originality, this is the one. The numbers matching V12, starts easily and runs turbine smooth. The gearbox is nicely lapped in and shifts effortlessly. The clutch is smooth and true and the brakes are working well.
