Car to be at Coy's auction 6/24/06
www.coys.co.uk/auctions/lot.php

Auction description:
Fine Motor Cars & The Jaguar Legend
Saturday 24th June 2006
Lot 231 1973 Jaguar E Type Series 3 V12 Fixedhead Coupe
Registration no: TTK 849L
Chassis no: 1551450BW
Estimate: £12,500-14,500
The V12 offered today is finished in striking azure blue and manufactured in 1973. The car is described by the vendor to be in good condition all round with the body and paint work in particularly good order. The interior is finished in tan leather with original seats and new roof trim and visors, again all in good order. This automatic example has only covered 57,640 from new and has covered 12,840 miles in the last 12 years. The previous owners had kept the car in the same family for the past 14 years before the current vendor (a long standing Jaguar Enthusiasts Club member) purchased the car in 1994. Upon purchase the car received basic restorative work carried out by SRG Engineering and Cambridge Motorsport with extensive work being carried out by specialist Gilbert Grace & Son between 1996 and 2000. Completing the restoration was a bare metal re-spray in 2000, carried out by JJ Body repairs of Buckley. Over the years in excess of £20,000 has been spent on the vehicle. The car is presented with a history file detailing restoration work carried out, a V5 document and a current MoT certificate valid until February next year.

Offered for sale at South West Vehicles Classic Car Auction at Poole, Dorset on 25 July 2014. This striking E type from the last year of production is finished in Azure Blue and has new chrome wire wheels. Original head rests fitted. Over the years this car has appeared in two classic car auctions with the catalogues present in the history file. In 2007 an Irish buyer purchased the car from one of the UK's foremost E type dealers. The car remained unused in storage until he sold it last year. The car was subsequently re-commissioned at a cost of almost 6,000 euros. Comes with the original handbook, aforementioned auction catalogues and receipts for recent work carried out. Presented in superb condition this striking car is ready to be enjoyed by the new owner. Currently Irish registered, we will assist with NOVA and UK registration if required. Mileage 58,072 miles. Sold for £33,072.

Over the years it has been offered at three classic car auctions. It returned from Ireland to the UK to be offered at South West Vehicles Classic Car Sale on 25 July 2014. Sold by the Panorama Bay Motor Company of Poole In December 2015. Finished in Azure Blue with tan leather with excellent original seats and new roof trim and visors. The car was unused for a long time until re-commissioned in 2014 at a cost in excess of £5,000. It is in superb condition and is exceptionally original order having been worked on by specialists SRG Engineering, Cambridge Motorsport and Gilbert Grace and Son over a period of six years. A full bear metal re-spray was carried out by JJ Body repairs of Buckley. It has been maintained by Jaguar main agents throughout its life and has covered less than 60,000 miles since new. The history folder includes the receipts for the re-commissioning and the original handbook. The epitome of classic British styling.
