Although it inevitably, through either deterioration or just simple personal desire, becomes necessary to have a vehicle restored, it is generally agreed that a car that has been restored never quite drives the way the original one did and as such this always means that original cars are always more sought after than their restored counterparts.
This particular Jaguar 'E' type, with the 5343cc V12 engine, dates from 1973 and has the much preferred manual four speed gearbox. It has completed an amazing and warranted 18426 miles from new and that has been completed by just two owners, the first owner keeping it for just the first three years of its life and the second keeping it until now when it has been stored for most of the time. Whilst in storage it has been started and cleaned regularly and it looks and runs as if it is completely brand new and the history file contains the brown wallet and the spare keys which have never been used.
This has to be one of the best and most original 'E' types to come on to the market in recent years and it should be keenly contested at today's sale.

Engine Number 7S8070SA

22,000 miles from new!!!
Need we say more?
The car drives absolutely as new. The steering is tight, the suspension taut & the engine crisp & responsive. You can slow down to 5mph in top gear, depress the throttle & the car will pull cleanly away with no transmission snatch or drive train lash whatsoever.
The paint is original Light blue in very very good order with just a couple of touched in areas. All brightwork is superb & unpitted.
The interior is black leather again in superb shape with blue carpets. The only non original item is the slightly smaller aftermarket steering wheel.
The car is fitted with 4 excellent chrome wire wheels & has a 5th in the boot. The original toll kit is present with the car.
The engine bay is exactly as one would expect; In super original condition. Most impressive however is the way the engine performs. I cannot stress how well this car drives!!
The car is located in the north west of England
