www.barons-auctions.com/details.php
Auction description:
Manufacturer Jaguar Cars
Model E-type S3 FHC
First Registered 1972
Registration No UBR 44K
Engine No 7556625B
Chassis No 1551047BW
MOT None
Colour Midnight Blue
Offered here is a 1972 - One Owner - example of the Series 3 V12 Coupe, which is part of a large and eclectic collection, which includes other Jaguars, Military vehicles and pre-war saloons from Ford and Riley. This collection is being broken up and sold off due to the demise of the gentleman who, not only bought the vehicles but also restored them, including Tanks, Scout Cars and various Jaguar cars.
This example was bought by the deceased on the 17th March 1972 and is a one owner car. It has been recently registered to his widow but the car has remained with the original owner until January 2014. The odometer shows just 42,000 miles, which is thought to be correct but cannot be warranted as such.
The car is finished in an unusual colour for a Series Three, in that it is in midnight blue, which would appear to be the original finish. It has recently benefited from a new header tank and hoses and is presented in very sound order. The car was in use until recently and is offered in excellent order throughout but may require a quick check over before use.
Offered complete with a JDHT Heritage Certificate, which will be included in the history file.
Guide Price: £17500 to £20000

For sale at C and C Car Sales of Ashstead for £84,995. Seller's description below.
www.candccarsales.co.uk/used-car-jaguar-e-type-399
A matching numbers car with heritage certificate UBR44K is finished in midnight blue and is a stunning car throughout. She was bought by Mr D Cheeseman as a silver wedding anniversary present for his wife. The car was used for around 15 years before being retired into his collection of other Jaguars and vehicles.
Fast forward 35 years and the car was sold as part of the estate to the current owner who re-commissioned her to the highest standard with no expense spared. A bare metal rebuild was carried out 300 miles ago to a better than new standard including powder coating the rear axle, hubs, etc.
Mechanically superb the 5.3 V12 engine is powerful even by today's standards, matched to the smooth automatic transmission and power steering she is an absolute pleasure to drive. Really needs to be appreciated!
