1972 E Type Series III V12 Automatic Coupe. Registration HGF405K. Bought out of a deceased estate by a motoring journalist. Understood that a photographic restoration was carried out in 1989 and then a full body restoration in 2010. At the same time it had a full brake overhaul, new cylinder head gasket fitted plus a Kevlar hose kit. All the belts have been renewed and carburettors overhauled with conversion to favoured SU carbs. A stainless steel exhaust system fitted and the Jaguar sits on new chrome wire wheels with chrome correct knock on wheel nuts.

The E Type has clearly been cherished and this beautiful sports car comes with V5C registration document showing three previous owners prior to our vendor, together with a repair manual, service handbook, invoices, parts manual, Jaguar Heritage Certificate, correspondence and MoTs in the file dating back to 1985. The mileage that year was 8667 and it currently stands at 13000 miles. Checking the paperwork including SORN declarations and MoTs this appears correct.

In 2022-23 the car was re-commissioned with all oil and filters replaced and the engine checked with oil pressure at 60psi on cold idle. The heater matrix has also been replaced.
