For sale at Arun Independent Jaguar and Performance Car Dealers of Pulborough for £59,995. Seller's description below.
www.arunltd.com/vehicle/jaguar-e-type-series-3-v-12-22-in-west-sussex-cf5a52ee-6 ...

Very original and low mileage Jaguar E Type Series 3 V12 2+2. The accompanying heritage certificate confirms that this car was first registered in December 1971 as a right hand drive car finished in British Racing Green with Cinnamon leather interior, the colour scheme it retains to this day. This Jaguar V12 E Type series 3 Fixed Head Coupe spent the first nineteen years or so of its life in South Africa hence a speedometer in kms and not being a victim of early onset UK corrosion. Then in 1990 it returned to our wetter shores and we have twenty or so subsequent MoT certificates which back up the mileage in the UK, the first MoT registering some 41,975 kms and the last MoT reading only 45,904 kms. This would suggest that this car has covered less than 30,000 miles from new, although due to its age we cannot confirm.

We then supplied the car to its most recent keeper in July 2017, a gentleman dipping his toe into the classic car market. He has enjoyed the E Type to the extent that he has subsequently part exchanged it for a more valuable series 1 3.8 and we are therefore delighted to offer this very good example once again. When preparing this example for our customer in 2017 we were instructed by its new owner to go to town on the car and in this process along with our normal preparatory servicing work, we fitted new front and rear shock absorbers, poly-brushes, radius arms etc and brought the car cosmetically into very smart order, with some partial re-trimming and paintwork. These works nudged £4,000. Additionally, the vehicle file holds a number of earlier invoices showing good care in recent years.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
