Sold by E Type UK in July 2021. Abbreviated seller's description below.

Dispatched from the factory in November 1971, this Series 3 V12 2+2, original UK right hand drive was delivered to and sold by Belfast's Stanley Harvey and Co, finished at the time in Jaguar Light Blue, before the month's end. New to Mr Parsons, as confirmed by the original buff log, the E Type returned to the garage for regular maintenance with its first change of owner in 1975. It remained in Northern Ireland until the 1980s and was held on NI registration DOI3113. During this time it featured in Philip Porter's guide, The Original E Type.

In 1989 it passed to Mr Bowman in Birmingham, a works plan was put in place including a rebuild of the rear suspension, re-commissioning the front suspension and a re-paint in Opalescent Silver Blue. It passed to Mr Tams in 1993 who retreated the floor and rebuilt the speedometer setting it at zero from a recorded 19,400 miles. The car then passed to Mr Gordon from Ealing who retaIned the car for 17 years, with the car in storage from 2005 until sold by him in 2018 to the current owner.

With 6 previous owners and a tracked mileage of 26,000 miles, this Series 3 is a truly unique classic example accompanied by an extensive and detailed history file with original factory documentation. Finished in Opalescent Silver Blue, the finish remains in great condition with minor blemishes. With dark blue leather trim and Webasto sunroof it has patina leather seats, original carpets and preserved gauges and instruments. This E Type comes alive when you take to the road, selecting gears with precision through the original manual box.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
