I have a photo of this car taken in 1977 when it was for sale at £2995.00 on the Isle of Sheppey. Shame I was only earning fifty quid a week at the time.

Sold by Classic Cars of Wirral in April 2023. Seller's description below.
www.classiccarsofwirral.co.uk/vehicle/name/jaguar-e-type-v12-22-manual/-2/
An E Type V12 2+2 Manual UK car. Very early production number registered 9 November 1971. Finished in Dark Blue with Grey leather interior. Chrome wire wheels, recent service and MoT. Rare UK car, one of only 855 produced with manual transmission. Superb service history with MoTs going back to 1987. Photographs and letters from previous owners to substantiate the mileage and history including an email from one of the previous owners.
Her husband passed away in 1993 so she decided to buy her dream car, she kept the car until 2005, only sold as she was using it less and less. We have a list of previous keepers. The car was in storage from late 2018 until June 2021 when it was recommissioned and had a fresh MoT done, Superb panel gaps, unblemished paint with a deep gloss, new carpets, seats and interior. Chrome is good and engine and gearbox perform as they should. Overall a nice straight E Type.
