33,550 MILES, ON EBAY 12/07, SEELER WRITES: Up for auction this week is this absolutely stunning 1974 Jaguar XKE Roadster that is a one owner with only 33,550 original miles. It was bought new by a classic car collector in 1974 and has been used sparingly ever since. This beautiful Jaguar has been very well maintained since new, just serviced in July of 2007 at European Performance in St.Petersburg, Florida. This convertible is ready to go! The V-12 really gets this baby going and the 4-speed transmission shifts nice and smooth! The factory A/C blows nice and cold.

The original Primrose (yellow) paint looks great with only a few very minor paint chips from being driven. The chrome trim and chrome wire spoke wheels look fantastic. The tan leather interior looks like new! The seats, carpet, dash and dash face all look great! When the owner bought this car new in 1974 he ordered a new set of seat covers that have never been used, they go with the car. I’m sure I have forgotten something so please feel free to ask questions. I can assist with shipping domestic or internationally so please do not hesitate to ask for a shipping quote.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
