Seller's description:

1974 Jaguar XKE E Type

5.3 V12 manual

20,000 miles only

Last owner since 1989

Chassis UE1S23900

Engine 7S14734LB

In original unrestored condition

Finished in Green Sand with Moss Green interior.

Manufactured in November 1973, this magnificent E Type was despatched on the 9th January to British Leyland New York

There is a US title certificate on file issued in 1989 that shows the car was registered in Pennysylvania in 1976 presumably by the second owner. Mileage was noted to be 19198 on the 4th April 1989.

Car was then shipped to Ireland and landed in Dublin port in January 1990. Current mileage is 20,300 miles so car has only covered 1100 miles in the last 33 years. Irish registered so no taxes to register in EU

Car is in magnificent condition throughout. The paintwork appears to be the factory finish and is without blemish. The interior is equally good with a recent hood fitted. The engine has just undergone an expensive overhaul at UK marque specialist Nigel Boycott who totally stripped the engine and throughly cleaned all components. The crankshaft was modified to accommodate a complete rear lip seal conversion. Flywheel was lightened and refaced and a reconditioned clutch cover and disc was fitted. Crankshaft was balanced dynamically together with crankshaft damper, fan belt pulley, flywheel and clutch cover. Con rods were balanced end to end. New rings, valves, heat duty timing chain, thermostats, bearings, seals, gaskets hoses and stainless steel clips were fitted. All levers, brackets etc were stripped, vapour blasted and replated. Carbs, waterpump and distributor were stripped, cleaned and rebuilt with new parts as required. A new exhaust was fitted.

Result is a car that drives and sounds amazingly well.

Comes with large and small tools.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
