Owner: Percy M
I first owned this car @ 1974 but being in the motor trade ran it on (general)trade plates. I then bought it back in 2006 not realising it was the same vehicle for a while as I have owned several XKE's over the years. (email)Updated July 27th, 2015. Not legal proof of ownership. |

The Jaguar 'E'Type is the archetypal icon of the motor industry and the last of these to be produced was the Series III model with the 5343cc V12 petrol engine.
We are pleased to offer you today this 1973 example of what is an original right hand drive and UK supplied car. It is the much preferred Roadster version with the automatic transmission and it has completed a warranted 56,180 miles from new. It is a totally original and un-restored and has been owned by a Glasgow businessman for the past eighteen years and although it has been maintained through his company there are many old MOT's and tax discs with the vehicle.
Obviously very well maintained from new it is rare these days to find a nice original car that is also a UK supplied one and we are sure this car will be eagerly contested at today's sale.

Car returns to auction in '07
www.classicauctions.co.uk/lotdetail.php
Auction description:
Kempton Park Racecourse
Lot : 38
1973 JAGUAR E-TYPE V12 ROADSTER
Estimate: £26000 - 28000
Mileage: 59233
Colour: BLUE
Trim Colour: CINNAMON
Chassis No: 1S2325BW
Engine No: 75132555B
Registration No: XFY444M
M.O.T: T.B.A.
Finished in blue with cinnamon leather upholstery, this particular example is described by the vendor as being in "good" condition with regard to its engine, automatic transmission, electrical equipment, interior trim, chassis, bodywork, paintwork and wheels / tyres. Said to have had two just two keepers in the last twenty-four years, 'XFY 444M' is believed but not warranted to have covered some 59,000 miles from new (a figure partially substantiated by "sixteen previous MOT certificates"). Riding on steel wheels and sporting a black hood cover, it is hoped that this handsome Jaguar will possess a fresh MOT certificate by the time of sale.

I am wondering how you got hold of MY photographs of our E-Type 1S2325. We have owned this car since Jan 2006 ( although my partner did own it briefly in 1974/5) It was NOT in an auction at Kempton Park. Please could you explain how you got photographs and details.

Hello, that seems odd if you own the car and are not aware of it being offered at different auction houses in the UK? Those pictures are currently in the web for instance on the pages of Brightwells Classic Vehicles (est. 1846) and they sure as Paul has quoted state there that the car was at auction on July 11th 2007 and it did not sell. Take a look yourself if you do not believe us:
www.brightwells.com/ClassicCarsMotorcyclesAutomobilia/ClassicVehicles/Results.as ...
and the pictures:
classiccars.brightwells.com/viewdetails.php
It would be very strange if the given vin# / chassis number, UK reg. number, colour and model that all match would be mistaken.
If that is not true, please ask the auctioneers to correct the information on their web pages.
Or do you mean the other pictures? Perhaps you have posted them somewhere before? Nice period colour BTW!
Best regards,
