Bought the car new after college, spent every penny I made on it for a couple of years, then sold to get married. Bought it back again in 1987. Originally Green Sand, has been bare-metal resprayed British Racing Green in 2002. Has been re-carpeted and has a canvas replacement top, leather has been re-dyed (but original leather). Other than that and much maintenance, it is an original car. Still has British Leyland FM radio in ever-working order.

Some days she's a darling, some days she's a harsh mistress, but always a pleasure to own.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
