This manual E Type roadster was built on 6th February 1973 and shipped to New York on 2nd March 1973. It spent its life on the East Coast where it was partly restored and had a bare metal re-spray. The car was then shipped to Eire when its owner then relocated with his collection of Jaguars. The current owner shipped the car to the UK where its restoration was finished by Showco Jaguar Club near High Wycombe between April 2016 and March 2017. The interior was finished in new leather and finished by TTS near Newbury along with a replacement hood.

This left hand drive, matching numbers, example comes in its original Silver Grey exterior colour and blue interior as stated on the Heritage certificate. The bumpers were replaced to UK specification in 2016 along with stainless steel wire wheels. Its original whitewall tyres had decomposed and were replaced with correct period narrow band radials. The radio is a refurbished Blaupunkt with a USB connection. The steering rack and windscreen are both new.

The car is UK registered and comes with an MoT certificate with no advisories. Believed to have covered only 56,318 miles (not warranted) since it left Browns Lane 44 years ago, this E Type series III V12 is a great investment opportunity.

Since fully retrimmed with any paint defects rectified making for a very sound E Type - now with a view to converting from LHD to RHD to complete picture. Still has original stickers under the bonnet! Now mechanically recommissioned - looks and drives very well.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
