On eBay 3/3/2004, item # 2464566707
Current bid at $23,400 - reserve not met
FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, WE PRESENT A 1973 JAGUAR XKE SERIES III V-12 CONVERTIBLE in brilliant Maroon (Regency Red) with matching Maroon Top and Black interior. Equipped with the rare 4-speed manual transmission, it's ready to be enjoyed by a discerning Collector or weekend enthusiast! Or someone who will put it carefully away and watch its value appreciate. The mileage is accurate; this car looks even better than these pictures!
The Vehicle Identification Number is: UD1S21269.
A fine example of what is, arguably, the most beautiful car ever produced, it was purchased out of South Florida, where it apparently spent the last 30 years. This pampered Cat has been thoroughly gone over by our mechanics and is "road ready", with everything functioning as it should. The power generated by the 272 horsepower, 12-cylinder engine is truly thrilling: You can effortlessly get "rubber" in the first three gears! The sound from the Stainless Steel 4-outlet exhaust is a muted "silken growl". Listen to it in person and this description makes perfect sense!
The body shows no prior damage whatsoever and is near pristine, showing no dents or scratches. The brightwork is all dent free and would rate exceptionally good to excellent. The Chrome Wire Wheels are virtually unmarked. The premium Michelins are all in fine shape. The heavy custom color-matched Leatherette Soft Top shows little discernable wear and the rear window is clear. The inner top headliner shows some minor wear at the top bow coverings. The interior has no cracks, splits or tears on seats, dash or console, and the carpets are fine. All gauges are working properly. Even the Owners Manual in its proper case is here. Original AM/FM radio as well! And, unlike most Vintage English cars, this particular Jaguar finds it unnecessary to "mark its spot"!
This XKE comes equipped with: 12-Cylinder 272 HP engine, solid state ignition, 4-speed Manual Transmission, original AM/FM radio with power antenna, 5 Chrome Wire Wheels, 4-wheel Disc Brakes, Stainless Exhaust, power steering and brakes, fully functioning Air Conditioning, adjustable steering column, and all other standard features.
