Ebay item 10/13/06 cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll
Openening bid $35,000 reserve not met, no bids yet, 5 days left in auction.
Sellers description:
This beautiful 1973 white Jaguar XKE V-12 convertible classic is like a step back in time from its eye-catching good looks to the throaty exhaust as you run through the gears. It is a fine example of an original car that has been well maintained by a conscientious owner—a hard-to-find combination. This E-type is in excellent running condition and has been serviced by our shop for the present owner. This highly desirable classic is original in almost every way—paint, upholstery, mechanicals. It does sport a new dark blue canvas (not the less expensive vinyl) top that matches the blue leather upholstery. 63k miles.
This vehicle has the powerful V-12 Jaguar engine mated to a 4-speed transmission. The car starts right up, the engine is strong, the transmission is smooth, and the steering is tight. This XKE has the desirable and rare factory air conditioning option and an AM/FM/cassette radio. All the lights, gauges and equipment work as intended, and the four wire wheels have 215/70/15 Goodyear Integrity radials that appear to have only traveled a few thousand miles since new. In sum, this beautiful convertible is ready—and able—to drive wherever you might desire.
As an original vehicle having traveled the actual 64,000 miles shown on the odometer over its 33 year life, the car is in exceptional condition but it is not showroom-perfect. The paint has some minor blemishes and stone chips that have been touched up, but is overall in good condition. The body has several small dings, probably from parking lot encounters. The dark blue leather seats show some light surface wear but with the exception of two small places on the side of the driver’s seat and another on the passenger seat, the leather is not split or torn. The dash has a split in the vinyl by the windshield on the passenger’s side. Unless the car was to be shown in judged national competitions, none of these imperfections would need to be addressed for this car to be fully enjoyed by the owner and appreciated by all who saw it. The motor is completely stock with all the emission controls in place and believed to be functional.
The car is on consignment to us and has been maintained by our shop for the current owner. This fine sports car is ready to drive anywhere you may wish to go.

My Dad bought the car at auction around 2007. He passed in 2010, and left the car with me.
