Current bid $27,100 reserve not met, 4 bids 6 days left in auction. 47k miles.
Sellers description:
1972 JAGUAR E-TYPE SERIES III ROADSTER SERIAL #: 1S20170
The Roadster featured in this auction has been with the same owner since 1973 and it shows less than 48,000 documented miles on the odometer.
It is painted in the correct Primrose color that it started out life with and it is a numbers matching vehicle throughout.
Best looking of the Series III roadsters, it is free of the later catalytic exhaust and the heavier looking front and rear bumper treatments.
The powerful and silky smooth 12 cylinder engine is carbureted and is coupled up to a fully synchronized 4 speed transmission.
This Jaguar was delivered with the good looking rare factory hardtop all of which came in black.
The rebuilt air conditioning system blows ice cold which was even hard for us to believe.
Less than 10 years ago the entire car was treated to a refurbishing and the rust free auto was painted and the leather on the seats was replaced. Anything that needed help was either repaired or replaced.
In addition the engine and transmission were resealed with a valve job being performed. The entire clutch assembly was also replaced.
The front end was thoroughly rebuilt and so was the entire brake system and the exhaust components were also done. Receipts for all of the work are present.
The only alteration is an upgraded sound system with no compromises to original components and the complete original working Becker unit was carefully removed and boxed.
Driving this beautiful E-Type is a treat for the senses and there was nothing missing from the magic of that experience.
Simply said, if you wanted a more together Jaguar Series III E-Type roadster you would have to go back to 1972.
