Record Creation: Entered on 13 October 2017.

Originality: Noted for being in "original condition"

Owner: Andrew McQuillan

The EType was introduced when I was 13 years old and I have coveted one ever since. Finally, 55 years later and after retiring I bought one from a classic Jag specialist dealer in Guildford, UK. A very original Series 3 OTS in Signal red with biscuit coloured interior and hood. It looks and drives beautifully. Sensitive upgrades: better brakes, bigger alternator, modern ignition and engine overhaul have made it even better.

Very nice looking car. Drives very well and fast.
Has had very few modifications. Brakes have been updated to more modern standard and are now firm but bite progressively. Electronic ignition has been updated to improve warm starting. Now starts on the button every time.

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
