Car was at auction 7/23
www.historics.co.uk/buying/auctions/2023-07-22/cars/ref-49-1973-jaguar-e-type-se ...

Auction description:
Windsorview Lakes July 22nd 2023
Lot Number 238
Registration OBF 10
Chassis Number 151723
Engine Number 7510211SB
Odometer reading 25,481 miles
Estimate £93,000 - £105,000

Low mileage example
Ex-Queen Noor of Jordan
Rare factory hardtop
This time warp example of the most British classic sports car was previously owned by HRH Queen Noor of Jordan. We are informed that she was regularly seen driving this striking Jaguar around Ascot. Originally registered in April 1973, this wonderful matching numbers example presents extremely well in Regency Red with a contrasting Biscuit interior. The black convertible hood has recently been replaced and crowns this striking low mileage example. The odometer indicates that this Jaguar has covered a mere 25,481 miles and this is confirmed by the previous MoT test certificates that accompany the car. Also present is the extremely rare factory supplied removable hardtop. The history file contains various bills and receipts for parts used in the recent recommissioning of the car, a V5C registration document and a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate. This is an extremely rare Jaguar and offers an opportunity not to be missed.

Desirable Manual Transmission

Only 25,000 Miles From New

Long Term Royal Ownership

Rare Factory Hard Top

VIN 1S1723

Astonishing provenance and probably the best and most original Series 3 we have seen. This superb example, boasts very low mileage and previous Royal Ownership and must surely be a contender for "best of breed.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
