Vehicle Description: 1969 JAGUAR XKE CONVERTIBLE with 62k original miles. This car has had over $6,000 spent on it in the last 4k miles. I have the receipts. This includes: · main bearings · rod bearings · upper and lower timing chains · clutch · pressure plate · throwout bearing · brake booster · brake master cylinder · carbs rebuilt · carpet · trunk mat The car has been painted back its ORIGINAL color and looks great with a BEAUTIFUL gloss. It has the correct ORIGINAL MOTOR and ALL NUMBERS MATCH on the car. It has just had a COMPLETE TUNE UP . The interior is in very good condition with new carpet and sun visors. The top is new. The chrome wire wheels are in excellent condtion. I have had the weights taken off the outside of the wheels and put them on the inside so as not to mar their beauty. Then the wheel, tires, and brakes were high speed balanced on the car. The engine compartment has been detailed to nice street standards. The frame rails have been cleaned and waxed. The firewall has been cleaned and waxed. The upper and lower A-arms are painted the original cadmium color. The shocks are painted the original dark medium grey from the factory. The exhaust manifolds are painted with 1800 high temp paint. The trunk mat is new. All the tools are present with a new jack bag. The original owner's manual is in mint condition in a mint pouch. The car runs beautifully with an excellent clutch and brakes. The front end is tight and the car is a joy to drive. I have had all models of the xke and this is the most driveable of them all. The 1969 was the first year of the reclining seats and headrests as opposed to the fixed seats with no headrests on the earlier models which makes it much more comfortable to drive on long trips. This is also the second year of the dual fan radiator eliminating the overheating problems of the earlier cars. I have owned a 12 cylinder xke and they get 10 miles to the gallon unless you put your foot in it and then you can see the gas gauge move. This is still a 6 cylinder that you can afford to put gas in and drive and enjoy. IT'S SPRING! DRIVE THIS GORGEOUS JAGUAR XKE CONVERTIBLE-- THE MOST BEAUTIFUL CAR EVER MADE!!

Spam prevention question (must be answered):
The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
