Current bid US $30,100 reserve not met 19 bids 9 days left in auction, seller pomyblokes, 30k miles.

Sellers description:
A 1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster with 30,000 miles from new. This old Jag is just screaming out for a easy restoration, win the bid and it will be you rolling up your selves and restoring her during the winter season. She had been parked high and dry for about 7 years, but after new points, condenser, fuel pump, battery and a few hoses, she does run and sounds sweet!

Numbers matching engine block (cylinder head has no numbers)
New leather
New top and boot (not installed)
Solid body, about 90% rust free I would guess
New tires
Currently starts and idles sweet
Nice glass
Fair chrome
Fair wires
100% complete (what you don't see is in the trunk)
Never crashed
I have not bleed the brakes or clutch so it's not a driver at the moment
Clear title ready for export or restoration
Fair paint (last painted 15 years ago)
Rolls easy

So there you have it, a rare chance to restore this car and be the first person to drive her in years.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
