Ebay item 8/9/14
www.ebay.com/itm/Jaguar-E-Type-Convertible-1969-Jaguar-E-Type-Same-owner-for-41- ...
Current bid US $30,050 reserve not met 44 bids 9 days left in auction.

Sellers description:
41,075 Original Miles!
Show Stopping Red Paint!
Black Leather Interior!
4.2L Inline Six Cylinder!
4-Speed Manual Transmission!
Classic Jaguar Wire Wheels!
Same Docotor Owned for Past 41 Years!

MotoeXotica Classic Cars is pleased to offer yet another show stopping Jaguar. The car you see here is a 1969 Jaguar E-Type Convertible and it is very deserving of the "most beautiful car ever made" title!

This was one of the first classic cars Dr. Ruehl had purchased 41 years ago in 1973. It was lovingly cared for while in his possession. He drove the car for a number of years before he had a complete nut & bolt restoration performed to near perfect condition. We purchased the car directly from the trust and unfortunately did not receive any documentation as it was lost in the shuffle.

Due to illness, this outstanding Jaguar was in hibernation for a number of years. It was taken to the Plaza Jaguar dealer here in St. Louis where it was awakened. They replaced the battery, drained all the fluids, drained and sealed the gas tank, replaced the fuel pump, fuel filter, fuel lines and rebuilt the carburetors. The car now runs like a champ and is in near perfect condition.

The underside of this cat is a clean as the top and even has a complete stainless steel exhaust system that still has the stickers on them. The car may have traveled some 500 miles since it's complete restoration!

Finished in red, this Jaguar's paint is deep with a beautiful luster. The stunning red paint is nearly flawless with no notable imperfections to list. The chrome bumpers and brightwork are in excellent shape and shine very bright to compliment the paint. The Hartz black cloth convertible top is also in beautiful condition with no wear or tear to be found. There is also a matching black convertible boot that looks great as well.

Inside the coupe, the black Connaly leather interior looks beautiful. The leather interior shows no wear marks and looks great. The black Wilton Wool carpet, door panels and headliner also look great. The dash is in excellent condition while housing the plethora of original Smith's gauges and an original British Leyland AM/FM radio that all look great. The gorgeous original wood steering wheel with inlaid gold "E-Type" detail is in stunning condition and really stands out!

Under the hood sits the original, number matching 4.2L inline six engine attached to a 4-speed manual transmission. The Jag sits upon a set of 15″ chrome Jaguar wire wheels wrapped in 185HR15 white wall tires that really pull together the entire classic look for the car.

This E-Type will rev up about any British car enthusiasts engine and get their heart pumping! It would fit right in just about any collection or would make a wonderful Sunday driver. The VIN is 1R8832 and the mileage currently shows 41,075 and is believed to be original. It is being sold on a clean and clear Missouri title that shows the original purchase date as 10/30/73. GET OUT AND DRIVE!!!

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
