Current bid $14,100.00 (Reserve not met), 7 bids, 6 days left in auction, 58k miles on the odo, manual transmission.
Sellers comment:
1969 Jaguar XK E-type Roadster in excellent restored condition. This was purchased by the current owner in August 1993 with only 45,600 original miles. In 11 years of ownership it has been driven less than 8,000 miles, has always been garaged, and has been very well maintained. The owner does not have much history on the car, mainly what work has been performed since taking ownership.
BODY The car was repainted the original Willow Green in laquer over the span of about 4 months in 1998. All minor rust issues were professionally repaired, which were the rocker panel and rear lower quarter areas. A new convertible top and interior were installed, also in 1998.
DRIVETRAIN Engine is a matching numbers 4.2 litre twin overhead cam 6 cylinder with 3 S.U. sidedraft carburetors, 4-speed transmission, and electronic ignition. The owner felt that the engine did not require rebuilding during restoration due to the excellent running condition.
WHEELS/TIRES Kelley Charger P215/65R15 mounted on aftermarket wire wheels with winged Jaguar knockoffs. The owner does have the original wire wheels.
The steering wheel and radio have been replaced, but the owner still has both original parts. The car is currently Pennsylvania State Inspected until 4/04, but will receive a new inspection before new ownership. All chrome trim appears to be in excellent condition, needing nothing replaced. This would make an excellent car for shows/parades/cruises, or just personal enjoyment without the restoration headaches.
Vehicle Condition
Excellent condition with no apparent restoration work required.
