Sellers description:
1969 Jaguar E-type XKE Roadster 4.2L 6 Cylinder, Pemrose Yellow with black interior, cloth soft top and knock off chrome wire wheels. Motor and head work done 15,000 miles ago and in excellent running condition with excellent oil pressure. Runs down the road solid and straight on new goodyear Integrity tires. All gauges, wipers, lights, horn, radio, interior light and clock all work.
A very nice restore was just recently done on lower sheet metal. Original sheet metal had some rust on floor panels and rocker panels. When taken to a professional restorer to repair. He said "It was very repairable but suggusted if I wanted an excellent job in those prone areas to go with new jaguar sheet metal and take out the old." So new sheet metal was installed with excellent results. I have $1200 in jaguar sheet metal parts, floor pans, inner and outer sills, etc. He got into it (more then what was needed) but I am very happy with end results. All sheet metal was rust proofed, coated, and sealed. A very nice undercoating was applied to seal and sound proof the underside. Another $4500 was spent in labor and a new yellow paint job. An excellent quality paint was used. (PPG DCC acrylic urethane) with a guarantee from the manufacture from manufacturer defect like webbing, fading, cracking, etc. Anything to do with a defect in the paint. This is a very presentable driver/good restoration car. With all cars of this age even with a good restoration minor flaws may exsist. Please come and inspect and have an independent expert appraise prior to end of auction. This is a very nice example of a 69 XKE roadster, solid, running nice, and looking great.
