Private Party Or Dealer: Dealer
This 1969 Jaguar XKE roadster was built on January 3, 1969, and is finished in light blue over dark blue leather upholstery. Power comes from a rebuilt 4.2-liter inline-six mated to a four-speed manual transmission, and additional features include a blue soft top, chrome wire wheels, an aftermarket exhaust system, triple SU carburetors, a MOMO steering wheel, and an AM/FM stereo. The car reportedly resided in Alabama before it was recently acquired by the selling dealer. This XKE is now offered at no reserve with manufacturer’s literature, tools, a Jaguar Heritage Trust Certificate, service records dating back to 2013, and a clean Ohio title.
The body is finished in light blue, and the selling dealer reports that the car was repainted under previous ownership. Features include a blue soft top, wrap-around chrome bumpers and bumperettes, a driver’s door mirror, and uncovered headlight buckets.
Chrome-finished 15″ knock-off wire wheels are mounted with 205/70 Dunlop D65 Elite thin-whitewall tires.
The bucket seats feature adjustable headrests and are upholstered in dark blue leather, and the matching door panels are complemented by color-coordinated carpeting. Equipment includes lap belts, a padded armrest, rocker switches, a wooden shift knob, and an AM/FM stereo. The seller reports that the floor panels have been replaced.
The aftermarket MOMO steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 5k-rpm redline. A VDO clock and Smiths gauges for voltage, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and fuel level are located in the center of the dashboard. The five-digit odometer indicates 78k miles, approximately 200 of which were added by the selling dealer. The removed steering wheel is included in the sale.
The 4.2-liter inline-six was reportedly rebuilt in 2015 and is equipped with triple SU carburetors.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. An aftermarket Bell exhaust system has been fitted, and additional underside photos are available in the gallery below.
The Jaguar Heritage Trust certificate lists a manufacture date of January 3, 1969, as well as the original colors and identification numbers.
