Selelr's description: Beautiful 1969 Jaguar XKE Roadster. Finished in rich burgundy over black interior. Powered by its original 4.2L 6 cylinder engine with a manual 4-speed transmission. Featuring wire wheels and factory manuals. An iconic design that only gets better with age, and this one is one of the best examples we have seen in quite some time. It shows in exemplary condition in every regard, with glistening paint, and tidy, detailed engine bay, a great interior and superb body fit. Equally impressive is the chrome ...every single piece of exterior chrome has been done to a high standard, including the bumpers, emblems, door handles, and trim. Like wise, all stainless steel and bright-work is exceptional.

Car reappears at auction in France:

Auction description: (apparently not sold)
Sale 19137 - Automobilia, Motos de collection et Automobiles d'exception au Grand Palais, 5 Feb 2011
Paris, The Grand Palais
Lot No: 319
1969 Jaguar E-Type 4.2-Litre Series 2 Roadster
Chassis no. 1R8098
We are advised that this unrestored E-Type roadster has no traces of any corrosion or body filler and no signs of any accident. The car was examined and personally road-tested immediately prior to its purchase in California, USA where everything was found to be in order except for a slight noise emanating from the exhaust system and some imperfections in the seats' leather upholstery. Both of these faults were addressed upon arrival in Belgium, the seats being re-trimmed in black leather and a loose exhaust bracket replaced. Overall, the car shows signs of only limited use, suggesting that the relatively low recorded mileage is correct, while the Michelin X tyres are in excellent condition, as are the original chromed wire wheels. Offered with Belgian Carte Grise de Collection, the Jaguar was used frequently in Belgium last summer without any problems, and is described as in excellent running order.
Estimate: €38,000 - 46,000
