Sellers description:
This XKE was purchased from a long time Jaguar owner who kept the car in a storage facility for years. It is a very original car and with its low original mileage it was a good candidate for a cosmetic & light mechanical restoration. During the restoration process by Classic Showcase, the car was completely repainted in base & clear coat. The bonnet, doors and trunk lid were removed and painted individually. All parts were wet sanded and buffed to give this car a beautiful finish. The interior was freshened up with new vinyl and leather where needed. New carpet was installed as well. The original Stromberg carburetors were rebuilt, the radiator was restored as well as the electrical system. A new master cylinder and new slave cylinder were installed along with a new stainless steel exhaust system. All systems were serviced such as the hydraulic system, fuel system and cooling system. New hoses, rubber and hardware were installed as needed. As a finishing touch, Classic Showcase completed a full vehicle detail, major tune up and full mechanical service, refreshing all components under the bonnet. This XKE is now ready to drive, enjoy and compete in your favorite Concours.
