Sellers comment:
A rare 1969 Jaguar E-type Convertible. This one has the 4.2 litre straight six and runs and drives great. It is a 4 speed manual in the Sable with doeskin tan leather. I am a licensed, bonded and carfax certified dealer and I took this car in on trade. It is a 35 year old classic that you can enjoy driving. Well maintained by an experienced Jaguar owner it surprised me with the smoothness of the ride and the power of the 4.2 litre engine. The wire wheels are in exceptional condition, very bright and shiney. Interior is in good condition, seats are fine, steering wheel has a crack at the top where people have used the wheel to pull themselves out of the car. It still functions fine. Carpeting is soiled but ok. Dash is not split. All gauges work with the exception of the clock. It has an older repaint in the original color, looks fine (a 20 footer) but up close is not perfect. Some surface rust under the carpet in the floor board, but not through. Exhaust system is great, chromed mufflers and pipes. Transmission shifts very smoothly in all gears. Tires are very good, top is is good shape all hardware is there. There is some separation in the bottom of the top from the wood frame. Rear window has some discoloration. All that is a simple fix with new tops readily available from several sources. I have priced this car accordindly.

Vehicle Condition
This is a 35 year old car and will be sold as is. I have tried to be accurate with my description of noticible items that may need attention, but be assured that the car drives and runs very good just as it is and can be enjoyed just as it is.

The father of jokes about warm beer and smoke escaping from wires is Joseph Lucas. Lucas died of typhoid after drinking infected water in Naples in 1902.

What disease did Lucas succumb to?
