This 1969 Jaguar XKE is a Series II roadster that is said to have been registered in California since 1988 and was acquired by the seller in 2021. The car is finished in silver over red leather upholstery and is powered by a 4.2-liter inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes triple SU-style carburetors, 15″ wire wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, a black soft top, a louvered hood, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, and Pioneer speakers. Work in preparation for the sale reportedly included replacing the tires and adjusting the carburetors. This XKE roadster is offered with an uninstalled steering wheel, a jack, a black tonneau cover, an owner’s manual, service records, and a clean California title in the seller’s name.
The car was repainted silver under previous ownership. Details include a black soft top, a louvered hood, bright headlight and window trim, a power-operated antenna, and chrome bumpers with overriders.
Polished 15″ wire wheels wear two-eared knockoff spinners and are mounted with 205/70 Auburn Premium Radial redline tires that the seller states were installed in December 2022. A full-size spare is fitted in the trunk. Aftermarket suspension components have been installed. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with inboard-mounted rear units.
The bucket seats are upholstered in red leather and are joined by color-coordinated door panels and carpets. Appointments include an analog clock, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, and Pioneer speakers. A tear and cracks in the leather are visible on the driver’s seat.
The wood-rimmed Moto-Lita steering wheel fronts Smiths instrumentation including a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and supplementary gauges. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 75k miles, approximately 3k of which were added under current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 4.2-liter inline-six is equipped with triple SU-style carburetors and sends power to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission. The seller states a tune-up was performed and the carburetors were adjusted in preparation for the sale.
